So i am still using the demo version trying to make sure it will do everythig i need it to do. so i tried to render some fades ive done between cuts and the preview or render (press enter) give me a error.

Video Peview Error

Error compiliing movie.

codec compression error.

This codec may be unable to support the requested frame size, or there may be a hardware or memory problem.

this error also come up when i try to export movie -> raylight avi

has anyone else had this problem?

We had this issue, to a lesser extent, when Jeremy Ordan tried the demo version on his XP machine running Vegas.

His simply stated that the media was offline when he tried to do anything higher than red proxy viewing. Sometimes, it would allow one HD clip to playback with the standard watermark, then that same clip would go offline on the subsequent play.

All of these issues will go away once you buy the full version.

These errors occur when the raylight output foder is not configured,
see the Raylight tutorial for info. If you re-install the program
the output folder must be configured again.

There are no functional diferences between the demo and release
versions, but make sure you have the latest version and make sure
you follow all the steps as outlined in the tutorial.

bah thanx alot yeah its workin didnt see that the folder had gotten reset thanx again guys guess ill get out my credit card now....

ha i did the output folder and rendered but it plays better unrendered than rendered is that normal?

If you're using MXF files in the timeline, yes. The MXF's as played by the plugin are a bit more efficent on CPU time than the AVI's created by premiere for previews. I would only render a preview if you are doing blur effects or something that really bogs down the playback.
