"We have the 64-bit Vegas 9.0 plugin working and we're now dealing with some build and installer issues, so it's getting closer..."

So, does current Raylight ULTRA work with 32 bit Vegas Pro 9?
Have a shoot coming up Wednesday and want to use my HPX 170.
Can I get MFX files onto the Vegas Pro 9 timeline, or do I go to Vegas 8.
All this is completely new to me, as I've just moved up from SD DV from my DVX100a.

I was under the impression that Raylight didn't work yet at all with V9 - but could be wrong. I upgraded and have been playing with V9, but probably won't try to use it for paying work until 9.0a comes out. Just my 2 cents.

Raylight does NOT work with Vegas 9.0 or Vegas 8.1 for that matter. 8.1 is when Sony changed their API for plugins. The version we are close to releasing will have support for Vegas 9.0 and their new API as well as support for 64-bit Vegas. The other applications that come with Raylight such as Raymaker and P2Maker will remain 32-bit applications.

i just wish vegas would natively support dvcpro hd codec.. man man.. what a headache

Everybody's pointing fingers at everybody else on that. Bottom line -- not gonna happen. The only way it will happen is if Vegas is no longer a Sony product.

so now the big question is: will the new raylight work with 8.1? i finally upgraded my entire system to 64-bit a few months ago, and upgraded to 8 like an idiot, not realizing that 9 was just around the corner... and now i'm wondering if i'll have to drop another $200 for another stupid upgrade just so i can use raylight.

I know... i know.. just some daydreaming.. hehe,

And if they don't fix Vegas Pro 9 soon, they will not be a Sony Product.. Tired of the crashes bugs glitches and just plain instability... 8c and 9

I have been working in Final Cut all day, had no choice. (same shi* different NLE 1 hour of work 7 hours of crashes)

Come on Sony I'm pulling for you guys!!
