RAW SDI Output to Atomos Shogun Questions

Hey folks, a bit of a long winded question... can some of you gurus help a brotha' out?

Been doing some test shots this weekend and have some questions:

A). GENERAL RAW QUESTION - With the Sony FS5 RAW 4K upgrade I’m able to send out via SDI a 4K RAW signal. I’m recording to an Atomos Shogun which actually has a 4K RAW Recording setting that they call: CINEMA DNG.

— When sending a 4K RAW signal to the Shogun and the Shogun is recording in CINEMA DNG, I notice that the Shogun creates folders with a separate file for every single frame. (I’m assuming this is supposed to happen). Given my assumption that these files have to be encoded BEFORE they get recorded, they are not actual RAW files off the sensor… correct? What I mean is, are each and every file for each frame actually a 12 bit ProRes 422 file, or some other flavor???

— If I want to record in 4K ProRes 10 bit 422 standard (i.e. not HQ) which signal should I be sending via SDI from my Sony FS5? 4K RAW?

— Based on my assumptions, if I want to record in 1080p to ProRes 10 bit 422 standard, I can skip the Atomos Shogun altogether and simply record to the internal SD Card… correct?

B). LOTS OF FOLDERS - When shooting in RAW, the Atomos creates a folder hierarchy with a whole bunch of folders which seems crazy. I shot 30 seconds of test footage and instead of the Atomos creating one folder with the images all inside of the “IMAGE" folder, it keeps creating lots of folders. See the attached image. Can you clarify why this happens? Is there a setting I’m supposed to change to keep one clip in one folder?
