While most of you on here probably don't have a whole lot of affection for film cameras, for those that still hold a certain fondness for them, take a look at this one:

This is the rare Arri 3C, not to be confused with the 35III. This model was BRIEFLY made in 1982 and was the replacement for the 2C. Unlike the 2C it had a fully variable shutter angle, and could shoot anywhere from 2-60fps. This package has already been converted to 3 Perf. Only 52 of these were ever imported into the US. This is the famous camera that shot most of Das Boot, and I believe Roger Deakins used a Panavised version to shoot the handheld scenes in Jarhead. Neat little camera, very small, MOS only, but extremely cool and rare. That's all, dismissed.

I share your love for old Arris' I bought an old 2c on ebay and took it to Arriflex in Burbank to have it checked out. It ended up in the hands of the guy who built it. That's right, literally built it. He had emigrated from Germany (workin at Ariflex there during the war) to Canada to the U.S. He told me the serial numbers that he had assembled before I gave him my camera. Upon inspection, mine one one of them. I had him sign the pressure plate. I never loan the camera out for fear that a camera assistant will use acetone cleaning the aperture and erase the signature. "Wolfgang" was his name. He drove, of course, a Volkswagen bug.
