Rant -- (may resemble BlackHawk's threads)

Wish I were banned.
OK-- a rant about my real life. I won't go into much detail. I respect the opinions of those on DVXuser more than my own friends (what am I saying, you guys are my friends :)). Thanks guys. Here it goes:

I'm not sure what to do about my girlfriend. I'm basically incredibly upset with her currently and I want to end it... but if this is anything like the few other times this has happened to me, I'll care about her "dearly" again in about a month. She is the type that tells everybody every detail about each fight we get in, and it makes it really hard for us to get over things because of that. I've told her this and she doesn't stop.
She says she doesn't think that I care. I've done a whole lot for her (won't go into detail, but believe me I have) but I'm not the kind to tell her how pretty she is (she's quite pretty) and I'm not really into PDA.
I currently don't have any feelings for her... but I think I'm just mad and I will eventually care for her like I used to.

A few questions: How should I try to cool off so I can take a less objective view of her?

Should I just end it if I don't feel anything?

We've already talked it through a lot, but I don't feel like there's much to fight for right now. I know I will now. I know I'm young and most of you probably don't see this as very serious at the current time it is to me.

So... cut it off and spend 100% of my time and money on filmmaking or let her stay my #2?

I appreciate it.

Just remember, it's lonely being single, and women hardly ever show interest in a single guy. After all, if he's such a loser that he doesn't have a girlfriend, there is probably a good reason... Hell, married guys are always getting hit on for that very reason.

Tell that to this guy:

Rumor has it, one year Baio got EVERY Playmate. Now those are some impressive numbers.

Ah, that's why I keep getting hit on...

Loving someone enough to want to stick with them, long term, requires the opposite of an 'objective view.' What you're after, is someone who is so important to you, subjectively, that objective analysis takes a distant back seat. If - and only if - they feel the same, about you...

Wrap it up and move on. If you really truly deeply don't feel anything for her, now, then you are just wasting your time. And hers. If you find yourself madly in love with her again, a week post-breakup, well, that's probably just how-green-was-my-valley, and you'll feel different as soon as you get involved with someone new.

Life's too short, to expend time on the kind of relationship you're describing.

there's a mutual respect for eachother you'll need to make it longterm without lawyers getting involved. she obviously doesn't respect you enough to talk with you about the problems if she talks to others about them in more detail. You'll be enamoured again in a month, bu frankly, that only goes so far. that can happen with just about any chick. find yourself a woman who respects you, and who you respect, not a girl who wants to play.

Dude if you need me to drive down with an old rug and a bag of quick lime then just say so.

"Deepfocus" I'm a little scared to see the Baio picture is autographed... you didn't pull that out of your bedroom mirror to scan it did you?

If I"m not mistaken - BBall is somewhere around 16

My advice...go watch Little Miss Sunshine again, and pay particular attention to Alan Arkin.

And if you get lonely, rent a dog or baby.
That is just sick...

Ladies come runnin'.
...oh, wait. Nevermind... I get it.

BBall...girls at your age play games. Girls at any age play games, but at your age they are that much more immature about it. Manipulation is par for the course. What she does could be for attention, to make you show affection...whatever goes through a broad's mind at any given moment. Ever watch Rescue Me? That chick Sheila is like women on eleven. Scary.

They say hate isn't the opposite of love, but rather indifference is. If she gets you all steamed and fuming, that is probably passion. If she just ticks you off and irritates you, then it could be that you don't care for her, but you like the idea of her...that is to say, the idea of being in a relationship.

If you have no real feelings for her and she is more a source of pain than happiness, then you should probably dump her. Nicely.

Find yourself a girl who likes Russian literature and French films.

OK so I made her out to sound pretty bad. We've been dating on-and-off for about a year. I'm not at my own house so I'll update when I get the chance. I'm just about 16 by the way.

Thanks to those who have helped. My single life is decent but I "get the young stuff" waaay more when I'm dating.

OK well I sort of "took a step back" for a couple of days and let my anger die down a little bit. We hung out last night and things went quite well.

Thanks everybody (even though I didn't take the 'dump her' advice) :).

Its a bad sign when you can say you don't have any feelings for her. If you think you will have feelings after its just because you miss her. She is picking up on the fact that you dont care and mentioning it. You probably have a blank face when you are talking to her or not paying attention. I would end it because why waste time and energy with that situation?

if you're planning on going to college, don't get stuck in a long term relationship. every freshman breaks up with their longterm partner about 2-3 months into the semester. plus, everyone cheats on each other when they're apart, given enough time. EVERYONE.
