I'm on the second read through at the moment. Discussions?

I read it - it took me a while to get into it, but I thought it was great by the end. I have read all of his books, and it probably ranks somewhere in the upper middle of the list for me.

Did you understand it? I'm re-reading the book because the Green Taylor Simms plotline is confusing if... well... if GTS is supposed to be who he is.

I've read it too, Kholi. It's a little out there, but classic Palahniuk.

I can understand your need to re-read it. The writing style he chose (jumping to different narrators) not to mention the time jumping, made it difficult to follow.

I'll say this much for Palahniuk - personally, I think he has a great "out of the box" imagination. He hooks me early in the read, but ultimately, I get a little disappointed by the end.

I *think* I understood it... lol. The GTS plotline was the most interesting part for me, because it was the most confusing. I didn't have the opportunity to re-read though, as I borrowed the book.

Neal - I usually have a very similar reaction to his books, but this one was the opposite for me. It took me probably 5 or 6 sittings over a couple of months before I was hooked, and then I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the end.
