Ransom ware of a kind

Its an underhand way of doing business, any transaction should be simple and transparent, clearly the software company wanted more money. This should be displayed quite clearly first and foremost on any 'upgrade' of software.
The fact I had to write an email to their customer services which sat for a few days until I posted this on this forum (I am guessing google alerts), then I got a reply.
If thats your idea of fair business practice David its not mine.

On the install issue I downloaded the install programme and entered the supplied key, to recover my original software I had to be given specialist download link that had to be created by the company to enable me to get my original version back. Hardly an open and fair policy for the customer.

Given my laptop has had to run for a few days without its paid for protection until I could resolve this, is this fair.

Lastly on the big button you psuh on the dialogue window it was marked, UPDATE SOFTWARE not PURCHASE SOFTWARE.

As I have said - "Ransomware of a kind"
