i am doing a documentary and i would like to record rain or shine cause the days are very sensitive and it is also part of the atmosphere for my movie. i found this one on evsonline http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/...ode=PRCDVX&Category_Code=5A5&Product_Count=13

that is pretty much the only one i could find. how could do these rain slickers usually work. am i being to optimistic into thinking it will actually keep my camera dry during a drizle or rain. if anybody knows of any other ones let me know i am all ears.

I dont own one but im pretty sure these co.'s wouldnt be making them if they didnt work :). Portabrace / Petrol / Kata all have various rain slickers.

you could also check out ewa marine bags. a little bit more pricey but it should def keep your cam dry.

i have the petrol like that one...it's also the panasonic in black from abel cinetech...same rain case.

it's a decent case as far as cases go. you are limited to what controls you can use with it fully or partially closed up. the lcd zip out is pretty much useless as you really can't see what is on the screen through the plastic.

i have used it many times shooting on the beach to protect my camera from salt spray and sand and it works very well.

is it completely waterproof...no...i don't think any of the cases are...moisture will get in...does it do the job it's intended for...i think so.

i'm happy with mine...but then i don't think i would use it fully exposed with the case in a downpour. i would should partially under some type of shelter and have the case on for extra protection.

i'm hiking the appalachian trail this year and this is the case i'm going to use to protect my camera from excess, dirt, dust, grim, etc.

hope this helps.
