I read about this just a few minutes ago myself.

I'm dissapointed. If Raimi's not directing - HOW IS THAT EVIL DEAD?

Could be good though - we'll have to wait and see!

Agreed, it's great that Campbell, Raimi and all of those guys are involved but I wonder who'll direct?

I'm not to sure about this one.  For starters, Sam won't be directing which is kind of a let down, mostly because of his inventive and maniacal camera.  Secondly Bruce won't be in it, or at least not as Ash.  And lastly it seems that Ghost House pictures has a thing with releasing PG-13 horror movies (Which in my opinion suck, or most of them anyway), hopefully the new Evil Dead will get an R or NC-17 ( ;D I can wish can't I)...

I just wish Sam would do an Evil Dead 4!

isn't all of the evil dead series minus Army of darkness essentially a remake? evil dead 2 is sort of a remake but its not- more like a retelling of the original and leads into part two- Army of Darkness. which is actually 3

anyway, if Sam Raimi goes ahead with the new one, im stoked!


he should shoot it with a dvx.

I like to think of Evil Dead as Sam Raimi saying "Ya know what? Let's try that again..."

I wish i had a cabin to shoot a horror flick

a cabin and a dvx and you're set.

I can't remember exactly how he got it, though I do know that it no longer stands. :(
