Rail width for DSLR Rig

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on building my own DSLR Rig. In order to maintain compatibility to other expansions I might want to add to it (follow focus, matte box) I would like to use an insdustry standard width between the rods. All I can seem to find is the diameter of the rods themselves (15mm) but not how far they need to be apart.

Can anyone give me the exact measurements?

out of curiosity, what are you using to make your mount for this. I have my rails made up but am still figuring out a good way to drill the 60mm spacers that can also double as a cameram ount
 
Does anyone have drawings of this mounting,
or good photos...? Because i would love to make it... but i find it difficult.
I also have been looking for drawings/photos of making a shoulder rig for my Canon 550D..
and options for followfocus, mattebox and other great stuff... anyone?
