RAID How To

I have:

Card: Sonnet Tempo SATA E4P

I normally just use JBOD but I am looking to tweak the system a bit --- if --- there is an actual performance boost.


1. is there an actual performance boost using RAID 0? (one that makes it worth the trouble)

2. How to configure in OS X

3. How to configure in Windows 7 64 BIT

4. If I through another 5k at this (meaning something in the neighborhood of: Fusion DX800RAID) will I see, again, actual performance boost over my current (RAID or JBOD) Sonnet setup?
