RAID Advice

Want to move up and get a 1TB Raid-5 setup for storage to accompany my editing drives. I was at first thinking about the Lacie Biggest FW800 (I know i know, i've always had great luck with lacie though) but I figured i could probably do better from somewhere else. any suggestions?

Are you looking for a unit connected straight to your PC/Mac or a NAS?
Should its be expandable?
What form factor would you consider for your purchase?

I'm looking for a direct connect to my Mac.
If its expandable, thats definetely a plus. I know the lacie drawers can have (4) 250g or 500g drives.
I'd like at least 1TB, and I'd like it to have USB/FW400 connectivity. This will be my backup drive so speed is not a necessity. My FW800 port is dedicated to my editing drives. Raid config 5 is also a plus.
