Im about to shoot a scene where a character quotes the writer/poet, Charles Bukowski.


What are the legalities, if any? I intend to submit to festivals with theatrical distribution in mind

If you're talking about part of published work, you need to contact the permissions department at the publisher of the work. Look up the publisher online and you should be able to find a page on their website that addresses permissions. They usually provide a form to fill out and mail or fax in.
