Guys,
I'm having a serious problem when converting 10bit uncompressed QT's @ 720P to ProRes422. I really like ProRes and I'd like to take advantage of it's space saving qualities. What's happening is that after the videos have been converted to prores from 10bit uncompressed, they come out looking slightly more magenta-ish and a little more contrasty. This problem does not happen with resolutions other than 720P. Is this a bit depth issue? does prores inherit the bit depth of the source file? and why is this problem only with 10bit qts at 720P? Original QTs came from final cut, and I've used both quicktime and final cut to convert the files.
