Those of you that use QT PRO to compress your footage do you export right from FCP to QT and do it there or do you have to open QT player and bring it in that way to compress? I just bought QT PRO yesterday and I cannot locate it on my computer. I already have the player version 7.0.4 and I noticed that certain options in the QT player are NOW clickable which were not b4 I purchased PRO. I went into the QT preferences and put the KEY CODES in but there was no submit button to click so I am not sure if QT PRO is installed on my computer or not. When I did a search for it, it didnt show up. Any ideas?

You're just enabling it. If new edit functions are available and you're able to command-J and chnage info then it's work. You can go back to prefs and if it has your reg number then it's good for go.
