Quicktime and final cut pro

Okay I imported some dvx footage into final cut pro 5. The viewer in final cut pro has a much more pleasing image than when I export to quicktime or view the raw footage from my capture scratch.

Here is an example. The footage in quicktime is the exact same footage in final cut pro, no cc, nothing.
Whats wrong with quicktime. Anytime I export footage out of final cut pro to quicktime for stock footage upload or something it always appears soft and murky.

FCP shows you a more accurate gamma range. Quicktime typically brightens the image.

Besides, never judge the true quality of your footage on a computer monitor. Always use an external broadcast monitor or TV to see what it really looks like.
