Quicktime & Anamorphic

Dear Forum Members,
After reading many posts and the FCP5 manual, I cannot seem to find a solution to my problem: after correctly capturing and editing a Squeezed 24pa timeline, I cannot export to QuickTime Movie (File > Export > QuickTime Movie) and maintain 16:9. The QuickTime file plays back in QuickTime Player AND iDVD as squished 4:3. However, when I drag the same file into a FCP5 browser, it plays in the viewer correctly as 16:9.
Do I need to tweak things after the file is in QuickTime Player, i.e., before iDVD?
Thanks.

When open in QT go to view movie properties and click on the video track... you'll be able to change the viewing resolution (set to 854x480). that may work, that is how you get anamorphic content to be viewed correctly. be sure to save when you're done.

Thanks for the reply....
So, that's it, huh? I thought assumed when exporting using "Current Settings" or, at the very least, "DV NTSC 48kHz Anamorphic," Quicktime would identify the file as 16:9....
