Quicktime 24p HD captured in FCP

[Daygola814]

Can I use Quicktime HD files captured in FCP in Vegas? I dont see why not.. but I have a possible job coming up where this is the case and I was wondering for sure if this is possible. I know Vegas supports quicktime. Has anyone tried this?

I'll post the specifics when I get them but any help now would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Depends on what the codec is. If it's an Avid DV100 codec Quicktime, then yes, you can edit it in Vegas if you download and install the codec from Avid.

If it's just a rewrapped DVCPRO HD Quicktime, and not the Avid DV100 codec, then probably not.

If it's in something like Apple Intermediate Codec, then no, you can't.

If it's HDV, then possibly.
