So the other day I stumbled across a craigslist ad for a dual 1ghz powermac g4 with 1.5gigs of ram a 160gb hdd and a 128mb radeon 9000 card for $50 and its running 10.5.8 leopard which is the latest version for powerpc based archs
and I was wondering if it would work for my tasks which are
-importing hours upon hours of footage into final cut pro off of my xl2
-exporting footage unedited in one big batch
-using compressor and handbrake sessions to convert the footage into a different format
-send it over the network on ethernet to my main pc workstation for editing for my next movie which is running windows 8
