Since I joined this forum, I have learned a great deal about film making. I am now mid-way into my first documentary and just wanted to say thank you to all who participate here and even more so to the folks that took the time to respond to my questions. Also a big thanks to the administrator who started this forum. It is a great asset to have. Also I have supported some of the sponsors and equipment manufacturers here as well. Since joining the forum I have invested in Letus, Manhattan, Advanta-Jib,Cool Lights, instructional videos, Octava, Joe Saba DIY Slider, and other gear recommended here.
It is also a pleasure to read about the trials and tribulations of filmmakers like Faith Granger and her film. Thanks to her for directing me to some great tips and sources for video makeup. Again, a great forum.
If anyone would like to check out the progress of my documentary, the official website is up and running at www.powmiafilm.com
It is a documentary about the POW/MIA flag, its designer, veterans, and POW stories. The interviews filmed thus far are very powerful. Hopefully my project will be a success when it is done because a percentage of the proceeds will go directly to veterans and their families.
Thanks to all. I will continue to check in, learn and contribute information when I can.
