Quick terminology question

Is there a special term for footage that you shoot of a main character doing “normal” stuff with no dialog? I know I’m not asking the question well ( ) so I’ll rephrase it.

What would you call it when you’re shooting footage of a main character running along a beach, footage of a main character walking in the supermarket aisle, or footage of a main character reading in a library?

Thank you in advance.

Action ( you did say the footage was about a character doing things). You are talking film footage, but the principle carries over to the script, the action element of a screenplay describes stage direction, what characters do, and also give exposition as to the location, weather, sounds, etc.

So if I were to say to the actress, for example, "I'd like to go to the park this weekend to take some montage footage of you running in a few different sets of workout clothes," that would sound reasonable?

Tell her you're shooting a montage. A series of scene in different clothing on different locations.
