Can someone please tell me how to save single frame or a single frame as a jpeg? I know its easy but I cannot figure it out, please help.
 
File - Export - QT Conversion... change Quicktime Movie to Still Image (I think... you'll see what it is when you look at the pulldown list).

Place the playhead over the frame that you want to export. Then go to File>Export>Quicktime Conversion. Select "Still Image" from the drop down list. You can then choose what format you want to export it as in the options menu. Leave the frames per second box blank.
If you are trying to get a still image to use in your timeline, you can select a clip and hit Shift-N.
