Ok i have short film i'm making and i just finished rendering everything with all the magic bullets and color correction i want. If i render this same file again will i get more compression or will it stay the same after another render.

P.S.

using DV 24p 2332 template

then will the best way for a situation like this be to stay within uncompressed avi. Is it true that as long as we stay within uncompressed we can rerender the file several times after addding different kind of filters and fx etc. And the quality will never deteriorate ?? True ??

True to an extent -- but the uncompressed files will be HUGE. DV doesn't detoriorate very much when rendering back to DV, even over many generations.

Well technically, titles and CG elements can noticeably degrade in quality after rendering to DV. DV is reasonable quality though.

Try SonyYUV if you're outputting to DVD. SonyYUV has 4:2:2 chroma subsampling (so not full chroma resolution). DVDs are 4:2:0.
For web, uncompressed would be better.

Glenn, you appear to be saying the he should render an uncompressed .avi for the web. That's not what you meant, is it?
