Quick Release Base for Vinten Plates?

I've searched high and low but I can't seem to find a Quick Release base that will fit Vinten Vision Blue plates?
Do they not exist? As anyone modded anything to work?
 
I'm not quite understanding what you're asking. A quick glance and it appears the 'Blue' has a removable wedge plate(although maybe not the same size) just like the larger heads, that you would attach to the bottom of a tripod(VCT type) quick release plate or directly to a camera or other type of mounting plate. Most tripod plates have 1/4" 20 and 3/8" mounting holes, so you should be fine even though it says the 'Blue' plate only has 1/4" and a pin(I personally secure my tripod plates with two 3/8" screws). What other type of 'quick release' base are you referring to?
 
If I'm correctly picturing what I think you're trying to do, you'd essentially be putting a quick release wedge system on top of a quick release wedge. If you're wanting to attach wedges to multiple pieces of gear, the Vinten wedges are available for purchase independently.

Or are you just looking for a receiver that can accept the Vinten wedge so that you can attach the wedge to the tripod and to something else(via the receiver base) besides the Vinten head? If that's the case, I would suggest calling B&H or another dealer that may know if the Vinten wedge for that particular head is compatible with other wedge type systems out there similar to the Manfrotto you linked to above.

Or am I wrong on both counts?

I'm interested in this as well, as this would allow me to more easily switch between slider and tripod.
