Quick release adapter for Mannfrotto 701HDV?

Hi guys,

i have Mannfrotto 701HDV and desperately looking for a
quick release adapter (with a plate).

Do i understand correct that this quick release adapter (for 501 PL plates) is compatible with
my head? I am a bit puzzled cos 701HDV is not mentioned in the description of this adapter,
although the 701 HDV seems to have 501 PL plates as well.

That adapter shares the same plate as the 701HDV & several other Manfrotto heads. Also Satchler's "Side Load", plus some Benro, & Gitzo, heads.

I ended up buys a Columet version, which someone showed in review to be exactly the same as manfrotto, but half the price.
Hope that's true ;)
