Quick Question - Shure Wireless

I saw this Shure wireless setup for £300, which is cheap for the UK (where 2x Senn G2's would hit you for £700 and the AT 1800 series £800+).

It looks cheap and is probably super nasty, but wondered if anyone has experience with it.

I'd be using it for anything from interviews to, and this is the major purpose, acoustic music performances - the idea being mic each band member with a mic and mix together in post.

So is it horrid?

I wouldn't call it "horrid," but it's definitely not great. :) The "Performance Gear" series is Shure's cheapest line, and some of them weren't even UHF. Like a lot of the cheaper Shures, I don't think it's really a true "diversity" receiver; and looking at it, they're even cheaping out on the mic element with a "PG185" instead of the usual "WL185" (and most people here probably wouldn't speak well of the WL series, let alone the cheapo version :) ). All in all, you'll probably be better off with the Sennheisers...
