Quick Question about Nikon Lenses...

I'm in the process of working on a 35mm adapter but I need a lens (duh). This guy I know is selling a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens however it is a "Nikkor-S".

I looked up a bit about "Nikkor-S" and apparently they are a different mount aside from the normal vastly popular Nikon F-Mount. I guess the S was made for the Rangefinder or something. Anyways the guy said he has had no problem mounting it on any of his Nikon bodies.

So to the final question...Will this Nikkor-S lens fit a regular classic Nikon F-mount?

I just picked up a Nikkor-S 50mm 1.4 from a local camera shop and it mounts on my Brevis perfectly. The "S" designation indicates the number of elements in the lens design. I believe "S" is either 6 or 7 elements. It doesn't effect the mount in any way.

Here's what I found over at Wikipedia:

Note: The letter U, B, T, Q, P, H, S, O, N, or D immediately after the "Nikkor" name designates the number of elements in the design — Uns (1), Bini (2), Tres (3), Quatour (4), Pente (5), Hex (6), Septem (7), Octo (8), Novem (9), or Decem (10).
