or not so quick as many of these answers can go....

Opinions please. Are Monster cables really worth it? They are unGODly high priced but I am considering getting an HDTV/Blu-Ray player and figured I'd get her set up the best way possible.

I doubt I would spring for a Monster cable they just seem rediculously priced when you can find lesser brands for a 5th of the cost but...

I know, I shoulda went directly to the source and asked Mattinstl this question...hey Matt, if you see this...please feel free to chime in...

Not worth it at all. Good cables are good cables, but Monster Cables are pure hype. I have entire Hi-Def home theater wired with generic stuff from Monoprice.com. They're HDMI cables are fantastic. I have a 50 ft one running to the project as well as a few short ones going into the receiver/amp. Digital signals are digital signals. Now I'm am a proponent of getting the right size cables. Longer runs will need large gauge cables. Large speakers will as well. Hope this helps...

Yes it does. Thanks.

I couldn't imagine the cable having that much of an impact because as you said, "digital is digital". but...I just wanted to clear this up for myself. And thanks for that site. They make newegg look like a ripoff. sheesh.

Thanks.
