Just evaluated the new TV Logic 7" monitor and compared it to our LVM-071W 7" and VFM-056WP 5.6" monitors. Compared to the LVM-071W 7", resolution is greatly improved, 1024X600 vs. the old monitor's 800X480. The 074 is very light weight with dual HD SDI inputs, switched output. HDMI looping plus HDMI conversion to HD SDI at 720 and 1080, not just 720 like the VFM-056WP.
The screen is matte finish, no more reflective screen!
The 074 has direct access buttons like the 071 and adds 4 function buttons and a multi-function knob in addition to the existing direct access buttons and knobs. So, lightweight like the VFM-056WP, but with a larger screen and direct access to functions via an array of buttons and knobs.
All the usual array of scopes(with size options up to full screen) and audio meters are present, plus markers with aspect ratio and color options. Focus assists, false colors, HV delay, blue only, monochrome, it's all there.
Anton Bauer and V-Mount battery brackets are available, headphone jack, analog audio input are new.
Firmware updates are now user downloadable and soon there will be an iPhone and Android app. to allow an even easier firmware upgrade procedure!!
This is the best on-board 7" monitor I've seen from a color standpoint, feature standpoint and lightweight form factor standpoint. List price is $2695.

Disclosure: I do not work for TV Logic or Preco, their US distributor, nor am I paid by them or any of their dealers. Just a user of their monitors since 2008.
