Quick FCP Sequence - Clip question

I'd really like to know who suggested this workflow... darn inefficient I'd say.

a) ok

b) cool... no need - one sequence...

c) again, no need - should have done this in the VIEWER!!

d) again... copy paste is a mess!

Do the tutorials. Start from the beginning of the manuals.

Follow these instructions to get thru your piece... THEN READ!!!

Captured clip is fine. It's in your browser now. Dbl click it to load it to the VIEWER. Go through THERE and make your markers (or use start/stop detection == better not ask me what that is!!)

File - New - Sequence. Make sure the sequence settings match your clip settings.

Your clip should still be in the viewer. But in the browser your clip should have a triangle on its left... twirl it down. There are your marker'd clips.

If you put a marker at the very beginning you'll have your first two minutes right there. Dbl click it to load in the viewer... then, F9 it to add to your timeline.

Then find your next marker'd clip and load it to the timeline... adjust the in and out points there by using I/O... F9 it into your timeline.

Read the manual!
