I am new to Vegas and would like to know of any settings I should be using for footage shot in 30p Drop frame on a DVX100a. Right now, under Project Properties I have the template set at the standard NTSC DV (720x480, 29.970fps)
However, I wonder about the Deinterlace method: with choices of None, Blend Fields, Interpolate fields. This field is for footage shot in interlaced mode, I assume, so if I already shot in progressive, should this be set to None? I already captured some tapes and the project was set up with it in Blend. Will this have any effect if I need to change it now? Would footage need to be recaptured? Also, anything else that should be set differently, in Capture, Audio, etc. Up till now, I've been shooting in 24p and all the books and training DVDs don't really address 30p issues. Any help would be appreciated.
