questions "Born into brothel"

Can any tell me what type of equipment (camera and sound) they used in the documentary "Born Into Brothel"?

I think Ross Kaufman was a one person crew.
what would be the appropriate sound equipment to follow kids around like that as a one person crew?

Thanks

They used two Sony PD-100's. His camera had a wide-angle adapter and Zana's didn't. Sound was captured using a Beachtek adapter with a radio mic on one channel and a Sennheiser shotgun ME-66 mounted on the camera and Zana had a ME-64.

do you know if they used wireless or if the sound was mostly capture by shotguns ?
are there shooting tips for a person crew using only mounted shotgun camera to capture broadcast quality sound?

Flean, are you going to ask the people on this board about how every recent documentary was made? C'mon - google it, go to the film's website, track down an email address for the filmmakers yourself, rent the movie and watch the special features or watch with the director's commentary. This information is all out there if you just look for it - which is how the people who are answering your questions (including me re: Iraq in Fragments) got the info.

If you're hoping to embark on a one person doc shoot, you're going to have to be a bit more resourceful than this.
