Questions about Noga Arm

Ok, so I'm still waiting to get my monitor, but I decided on the Ikan V8000HD.
Now I'm in the market for a mounting arm. I'm pretty sure I'm going with a Noga arm, just because it seems to be the most "bang for my buck".

The only problem is, there seems to be so many different mounting options for it, and I'm not sure which I will need.

It seems like the cheapest route (I'm trying to save every penny I can while still making sure my monitor gets all the support it needs) would be to mount it to the handle on my HVX, except I'm not sure it it's a 1/4" or 3/8" hole...

Could some one please help me out on this one?
Also, I'm not 100% sure if the V8000HD has a 1/4" mounting hole on it, any one here know about that?

Any other suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks,

Patrick

You'll want the 1/4 20 if you want to mount it onto your hvx handle. The 3/8's would require this adapter that doesnt work very well and will scratch up the handle surrounding the screw hole.

However, the 3/8's version is waaay more solid of an arm than the 1/4 20.

Good news is, the Ikan is light. So i say go for it and try out the Hold-it 1/4 20 arm.

Thanks a lot Arrik, that exactly what I was hoping to hear haha. No need to purchase anything more expensive for it...

I'm assuming the Ikan has a 1/4 20 hole in the bottom of it as well?
