I recently bought an HPX170 with which I'll be shooting a feature in the next couple months. I've been trying to research other equipment, but there's so much out there. For example, I've seen 8'-12' jibs/cranes ranging from $300 up to a few thousand. I'm going to ask this, knowing that it's an ambiguous question, but here goes:
Can anyone make recommendations for the following equipment? I'm on a fairly tight budget, and I'm not even sure I'll need everything on the list, but I want to cover all my bases. I'll be shooting both indoors and out, and during the day and at night (not sure if I'll be shooting day-for-night or not).
Thanks,
Lloyd

- Shotgun and cardioid mics (I have a Shure SM58 that I'll probably use for indoor shooting)
- Follow Focus
- French Flags (I don't need a matte box because all my filters are screw-ons, and I can probably build my own, but I'd like to see what's out there)
- Remote focus and iris control (I'm pretty sure I have to get the that's made for the HPX170)
- 7"-8" HD monitor (how's the Lilliput 869GL-80NP)
- 35mm adapter (not sure if I'll need one or not)
- Slider (again, might not need one because I have a GlideCam, so I could fake it)
- Stabilizing vest, etc.
- Lighting (I have some work lights, Chinese lanterns, reflectors, and a few other miscellaneous lights, but I might need some for outdoor shooting)
- Dolly equipment (including track). I've seen at least one kit that includes a crane, dolly (with stool), and some other items and is only $800!
Thanks,
Lloyd
