Question

End of Fall

Well I been starting to shoot with my Letus rig. One of my mistakes I've been making in the field are forgetting to turn the Letus on which is resulting in a ton of grain.

Second issue I'm having is the fact that my picture is slightly out of focus. Can anyone gear me to how I can fix this.

I was looking over the user manual and it says to shoot my Letus with out a lens on a white paper or sky thats over exposed just so I can see the grain. Once I see the grain it says to focus on the grain. Heres my issue I can't see the grain to even focus on the grain.

Could I set my rig on sticks then turn AF on and let it do its magic or that wont work?

No that will not work because AF won't know what to focus on. You're not seeing the grain because the lens aren't stopped down enough. Turn off the adapter, point the camera at the sky and stop the SLR lens down to f11 or f16 and the grain will become obvious. Focus on that, return the f-stop to below f4 and turn on the adapter.

Ok so let me double check this so that way tomorrow I can properly try this.

Step 1: put my 50mm lens on

Step 2: Turn my F stop on the lens to f11 or f16

Step 3: Shoot the camera's lens toward the sky then focus on the grain.

May I ask why the manual told me to do it with out a lens on the Letus. Doesn't make sense why they'd have me do it that way.

The manual is wrong. Without a lens there's nothing to project onto the ground glass and you won't see anything.

Thanks man! It actually worked, the picture looks really good.

I actually done it under my patio so it had a tint of blue so I hit the F Stop to 22 because 16 wasn't good enough to focus on the grain. I hit 22 and the grain became really black I focused on the grain and wala!! It worked perfectly!!!

Thank you cant say it enough.!
