Question

I'm pretty new to the whole screenwriting thing and I have a couple of questions.

1) If a character has a certain accent(one of my characters is Australian), how do I put that into a script?

2)Since I'm English, I spell things the english way(realise, colour) does this matter in regards to sending it to American companies?

Would much appreciate any advice.

I have noticed that people in general are getting so inept when it comes to spelling that I almost want to say it doesn't matter.

But it probably isn't a bad idea to change out British-standard spellings for American ones, for American readers.
