question.... what do you call fill shots?

I'm lost to the correct terminology here.... but these are those idle shots used to fill voids in documentary films. Anyone know the term used for them?

Some people call them "B roll" shots, or "Cut aways". Modern documentaries use more and more visually oriented transition sequences.

b roll, visual evidence, cutaways, and a few other terms. b roll is the most common though
