Hey everyone,

I've had years of videography and post-production experience, and i'm ready to start advertising myself to the public for videos, and once thing i've noticed on a lot of people on their production webpages, are spots and commercials they've done for companies or businesses in their area.

My question is, how did you advertise yourself to these small businesses/companies to do spots for them for local TV networks? And what standards must i shoot in, if a client (say a local car dealership wants a 30 second spot), do i need? Such as bars and tones/ broadcast safe, frame rates, etc? anyhelp wouild be great, thanks guys

yes, yes, and unless its a DVD which it wont be(they may want one for their own reviewing but most places dont want DVD because its already gone through a round of compression) or for the web, it should be 29.97.

Joe, this has been addressed here abunch. Also, just call your local cable rep as standard do vary a bit. Local cable here will accept DVD or DV tape or beta, with tone, bars, and black. But lots do NOT accept DVD
