Question regarding writer %'s

If a spec commercial gets picked up by a company, what % should the writer get from the deal?

thats what I'm asking, what is considered a standard in situations like this. A writer has a good script, a filmmaker takes it, produces it and sells it. What would be a fair % that the writer should get?

Spec work is worthless, nobody buys spec work. If you need to pad your reel then go ahead and do a spec spot, just don't count on selling the ad.

Spec work is not worthless. It's an investment in experience. Look at it that way and you'll never take a spec gig that is not worth it.
