Question regarding post section of SOUND DVD

Really enjoyed the DVD. Recommended to all. One question, when you were adjusting the levels in the post section, I wasn't clear if you were using Volume, Gain, or even the Normalise function. (Premiere Pro). And it looked like you were lowering the gain of the louder clips to match the quieter ones - is that right? Found it a bit quick.

Can someone just clear that up a bit for me - I use Premiere Pro CS3.

I was using the gain control, yes; the intent, of course, was just to demonstrate the general concept and have you apply it however it works best in your NLE.

I'll have to check how to do the same thing in PP; I don't have it in front of me right now and I won't get back to it until at least Monday. However, Mr. Neil Rowe, Premiere Guru, might be able to help you.
