Hi,

im new here and also in the whole camcorder szene. But after months of informing i think im ready to think about building a 35mm adapter :)

First i want to decide and buy a lense to do some tests. But there i got a leak of knowledge so i kinda need help :P I'd be very thankfull if you could answer just one of these questions:

1. Is it true that, if i decide to stick on Canon lenses i wont be able to control the aperture-size? That would be worse huh? oO

2. OK, there is no such a problem with nikon lenses but than again there seem to be the problem that it cant snap in to the 35mm Adapter. To be honest... i dont get it. I thought i could simply buy the Bayonet of my choice (Canon, Nikon, Minolta?) and there it is - finish. Is that wrong?

3. Can a Bayonet also be called Adapter or is there a difference in meaning?

4. Whats the difference between a male bayonet & a female bayonet?

5. As i want to save money as much as possible: Would you recommend a Minolata Bayonet? I mean they are cheap right? Are they also good enough to stick with Canon or Nikon?

6.
How much should i suggest to pay for a GOOD 28mm Lens?

7. How do i know if a lens has achromatic aberations or barrel distortion when i dont have a camcorder + a big screen with me?

Thats it. Quite massive for a first post, i know - im sorry for that.
I can just hope you've got a good day *G* XD

Thanks alot
