question on joining scenes

hi guys I was just messing with vegas 6 right now, this might be a dumb question but when you are joining scenes together the marker should say 0 in the middle of the scnes right? but why is it that when I join scenes with -0.01
or something like that it looks better when you play the whole thing? if you do this, this creates a problem with the audio right? tell me how scenes should be bonded together to look like regular movies

thanks

If you have snapping enabled you should see the clip on the right pull itself into place when you move it over to the clip on the left. I'm wondering if the marker you're talking about it actually the flag that tells you how far you moved the clip over? Otherwise I'm not sure I understand what you're seeing. anywaqy, with snapping enabled the clips will pop into place so that there is no gap between them. If you push one clip into the other the default settings will create a crossfade between them, which you'll know because you'll see an X where they overlap.
