I am looking at a wideangle lens and a filter kit on ebay. They mostly say that they are for either for a dvx100, or 100a. I have a dvx100b and was wondering if the lens's and filters work for all the 100 models? Thanks.
Worthless as in a $30 lens masquerading as a $500 lens. If you put them on your camera, it will ruin your footage - That bad.
Power seller means they sell a lot - Says nothing about what they sell. When it comes to glass, you get what you pay for. Century Optics make very nice lenses, but not cheap.
Digital Optics is not Panasonic. They are wording the ad to mislead you. Says it all right there. Filters are the same as lenses, the better brands are more expensive. Search the forum and you will find lot's on filters and lenses. There are no bargain deals on quality glass. If a good lens is out of budget, which is the case for many of us, just stay with the stock lens. It's quality. Yes a good UV is a must
Hey,
Ok, I owned the Panny .8 wide angle for 3 or so years. I like it. I had the chance to upgrade to the Century .7. Geez what a difference. BIG.
So Here's my thoughts ...
1) Save and get the Century if you can, if not the Panny. But never off-name poo from ebay.
2) Any Glass filters (Tiffen, B&W, H&H) are good. Lee makes good resin filters cheaper but they scratch.
Buy the best you can afford. Even if you have to wait and get one at a time. Remember it is the first in the optic chain. Stick poo in front of a Viper, you have really HiRez Poo.
