Question: isolating color in final cut pro

I've seen countless tutorials about doing the "pleasantville effect" which seems easy enough.

my problem: I'm working with stills in fcp and i'm trying to isolate a color (specifically a person among a few other people) while the rest of the pic is in B&W. I cant figure out how to keep one persons flesh colors in while keeping the others people flesh in B&W. for example if i want to isolate one part of the image that is blue than how do i keep any other blue in the image from being affected as well?

is this possible? should I use motion?

If you're working with stills, why not use Photoshop? The controls are better, and you can work with the image at its original resolution, then export at any resolution/pixel aspect you wish.

If you don't have photoshop, you could (depending on how the shot is composed, and how patient you are) use a matte to constrain your color correction to the area of the shot you want affected.
