Question: Is this Micron still legal?

I am finally going through my gear and selling what I don't use. My wife not only has plans for the the space, but I think whatever I get for the gear I sell will be going to what she see in that space. Bet I am not the only one who has seen this movie.
Anyway, I have this working Micron Wireless kit. Sounds great albeit a bit on the bulky side by todays standards. It is Micron Channel 19 @ Frequency 183.0. I looked on the FCC page but Microns are not listed and Frequency and Blocks are not my strong suit. I am putting up an iPod pic just in case that may help to identify the model. I did the Google thing and looked at the Micron site but there was no info on legacy products.
Thanks
Brian

Well, first off, being in Canada, the FCC doesn't have any jurisdiction over you... :)

But seriously, if you did want to try and sell this in the US, there should be no problems. The band that went away was from 698 - 806 MHz, so you're well outside that.

That's a VHF system, which uses lower frequencies than UHF, which is what new stuff uses. VHF stands for Very High Frequency, and UHF stands for Ultra High Frequency. Not may people use VHF anymore because of the range issues and the fact they don't go through walls very well. However, If those things are not an issue for you (meaning ENG folks), then a VHF system can be great. They are older, and cheaper, but there is hardly anything down in those frequencies anymore, so chances are you won't get many hits on your wireless when you use them. I know there are people out there that actively look for VHF wireless systems, so you can probably find a buyer, but it will most likely be someone who has been around for a while and knows what they are looking for.
