Question for Shoot: Splitting Audio!

I'm shooting a live event Monday where I am supposed to be getting a feed from the board. Only problem is that they are using a small sure mixer w/ one XLR output and they have that output going to a computer (XLR to 1/8 Mini) to record sound separately (long legal reasons). This is something I can't change.

The question is: what if I were to split the audio right before it got into the computer (mini splitter) then send one to the computer and used a mini to XLR cord to my PD-150. What kind of problems would this cause? The audio will only be of people talking but I'd still like it to sound OK.

My only other thought would be to take the mini out of the computer and into my PD-150. But then I would record any Windows "Dings" or sounds playing from the computer.

THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!

bring another mixer or splitter , feed the audio from the board to this device and take output to the camera while they use the other , since it mono feed as i understand it will be ok , if you wrong and they use stereo recording , find mixer with 2 main stereo outs or use dual channel splitter

So: Bring a Mini splitter - send the one feed to the computer and send the other feed to my mixer and out to the PD150?

Thanks for the quick response!

not regular passive splitter !!!
since you need stay balance to feed your camera and accidentally not catch ground loops or hum which might cause by computer or power lines
