Question for SGPro users!

Hey guys,
Pretty excited just got news that my unit has been shipped. This is after originally being told i had to wait till the end of the month! So stoked!! Just wondering how long after you got your despatch email did your unit arrive? I am in australia, but looking at google map it is bout the same distance roughly as us though i realise there would be faster shipping there due to higher levels of courier traffic.

I don't think other user's experiences will match up with yours. Recently waynes has hired another employee and done many other things to help cut the lead time down significantly.
 
hey thanks for the quick reply just have another question. what are your experiences of the hv20 with the sgpro can you get edge to edge sharpness, what about vignetting etc, is it a ***** to set u. well thats more than a few questions sorry, also pmed Zack bout his experiences on your film but no response, busy editing i guess!!

We didn't test the sgpro combo too much. We actually wern't planning on using it because Zak owns two brevis units but one went down and we used my friend Bruce Allen's set up.
Bruce's set up did have a 1" or 1.5" spacer ring so you could zoom in more and lose the vignette. I know it is present but with most lenses is hardly noticable. You can do an anti vignette in post and brighten the corners also to help out with that.

when did you order yours? i did it on the 4th, monday earlier this week.

where abouts in australia are you located? i'm in melbourne.

it should take about 7 days for it to ship here, 7 work days or any 7 days, i don't know. you'll have to tell me how much tax and customs/duty is.

now you've got my hopes up. i hope you didn't get shipped the the last one they had lying around the shop and i have to wait the full month :D
 
matty, does bruce put the spacer in between the achromat and the adapter or in between the achromat and the camera? cos cinevate recommends you put it in between the achro and the adapter. but that maybe just for the brevis...

I ordered on the 23 of Jan but damn paypal did not clear til the 30 so i missed the end of jan batch where the lead time was like a couple of days. they told me id have to wait til feb 29, but then got a despatch email this morn!
 
Hope i dont have to pay customs duty. but if i do it will be $65 plus 10% of the cost of the sgpro, based on previous orders that have been declared at customs.
 
Hey yeah i am in Sydney sorry forgot bout that one, but i might be coming down to Melbourne in 2 or so weeks for the weekend with my gal.
 
damn, you ordered way before me. my paypal money probably hasn't cleared yet. i hate paypal.

I believe the spacer was between the camera and the achromat.

Don't quote me on that though. We shot that a few months ago.
 
i got a reply, no early shipping for me. apparently wayne has sold out of nikon mounts and wont have any more in until the end of the month.. which is absolutely cool with me. i just have to wait until my original dispatch time. if only i had canon lenses :D
 
The spacer tube is between the achromat and the adapter. The achromat being on the end of the tube that screws into the camera.
