Having gotten nowhere with private email appeals so I figured I would open this up.
I am interested in whether an SGPro Rev 3 can work with a Cinevate Flip.
It does work with a n SGPro Rev2 and I presume this will carry over with a Rev3 but I don't know whether the connections will marry in the same way.
So I'm wondering if someone with a Rev 3 will tell me what the back of the unit looks like if you screw off the condensor tube. This was no big deal on mine as it easily screws on and off.
On my rev2 the condensor tube screws onto 62mm male threads that emerge from the back of the SGPro. That should be able to screw right into the 62mm female threads on the Cinevate flip. However inside the 62mm ring on the SG there is a black tube that emerges about 1/4" past the threads.
That tube gets in the way of a perfect merger. However with the right (cheap) adapters you could go around the black tube and get a hard mount between the two. All I did was snug the SG into the Cinevate Flip and tightened it on the rails and that seemed to work fine.
Anyway if anyone can tell me what the back of an SGPro Rev 3 looks like I will send a big thank you and a hug. (I'll omit the hug for the squeamish) Photo would really be nice! (- especially if you do want a hug)
A lot of people have been asking whether this could work.
Incidently I have no idea whether this would be as good as a the Flip that Wayne is selling to mate with his SG. For people with both units though it would be nice to have only one flip.
