Rush,
I just got my Lenmar Mach1 charger today. I opened the box and discovered that it was already used. The package was taped from the bottom and it was half opened. Why did they send me a used one? I know I didn't buy it from the clearence rack.. I ordered it online..I check to see if it works.. and it does, but it was used.. This sucks.. Let me know what you think.. thanks..

there's a difference between used and restocked.  You've got to be a little bit fair with retailers, they can't be expected to toss out every piece of returned equipment they get.  If the charger shows no signs of wear and it's simply the box that's been opened, it's not USED...it's simply restocked.

Somebody probably bought it and then returned it shortly thereafter for whatever reason.  It's not like there's going to be dirt on the heads or wear on the parts...it's a charger.  If it works, it works, regardless of the state of the packaging.

You could go through the trouble of sending the unit back for one that hasn't been touched before, but that will end up costing EVS money and you'll end up with the same product in the end

Remember, every time you make it more costly for a business to sell to you, you reduce that business's latitude in pricing and service.

I'm with Bermudaforce on this one. Nothing annoys me more than buying something and finding out that it has been sold to someone else previously and returned for reasons unknown. It would be easier to take if you knew the exact history of the equipment, but it is this uncertainty factor that is bothersome. You never really know WHY it was returned, so if you pay for brand new, you expect brand new.

I'm not trying to say EVS sucks here. If they were going to send me a restock item at least let me know ahead of time.

It's like if somebody paid for a hooker and what they got was one with 9 STDs and not a clean one. That would suck! The hooker is beautiful and still works good but damn, 9 STDs...
man..you guys get what I'm saying..

Sorry Bermuda, if it was a restock, you should have been informed, that is an obvious. I actually don't think it was a restock, it's just that those cardboard boxes that they come are so flimsy that they literally fall apart sometimes and we have to tape them up so they stay together, happens in the front lobby sometimes, when they hang on the wall too long. No big deal, if you would rather get another, send me an email :). Since I don't know who you are, I don't know who to send the prepaid return slip to, so send me an email to rush@evsonline.com and give me your name and Invoice number. Then we will send you another unit ;)

OB1 look in the top right it will say, "Hey, OB1, you have _ new messages." or it wont say you have any. If it says you do click on it and it will bring you into your messages.

How do you turn that on, Jarred? It used to talk, but now it stopped...
