I've had a 502 head for about 3 year I'd imagine. It's been great up until recently. It's starting to feel like there are little pits where something internally feels like it drops into and then has to pull out of, enough so that it can effect the quality of the pan I'm doing. At first it was just one spot that seemed to come and go, but it's slowly getting more noticeable. Is there some maintenance I should be doing to keep stuff running right or is this just what you get with a lower priced head after a few years (in some very dusty conditions at times)? I tried googling manfrotto 502 maintenance but mostly found reviews.
